A tourist ger camp, often simply referred to as a “ger camp,” is a type of accommodation commonly found in Mongolia, especially in rural and remote areas. A ger, also known as a yurt, is a traditional Mongolian round tent made of a wooden frame covered with felt.
Each ger typically accommodates 2-4 guests and is equipped with beds, warm blankets, and stove for heating. Some ger camps have private toilet and washroom connected with each ger. Some have shared bathroom and shower facilities which are located in a separate building.
