It is a festival to introduce the culture of the Mongolian national minority Kazakhs to the world and promote their heritage to the next generation. The Golden Eagle Festival is held 2 times in the Mongolian far western province Bayan Ulgii  in  September & October.

What is the Golden Eagle Festival?
The Golden Eagle Festival is a world-renowned event that beckons adventurers and culture enthusiasts alike. This two-day spectacle pays homage to the timeless art of eagle hunting, a tradition passed down through generations of nomadic tribes in Mongolia. Watch in awe as up to 60 skilled eagle hunters demonstrate their eagles’ agility, hunting prowess, and the deep bond they share with these magnificent birds. Day 1, 2(Sep 17-18) Sagsai Golden Eagle festival

Your adventure begins with a flight to Ulgii, a charming town nestled in the heart of the Altai Mountains. This two days are the highlight of your journey. You'll be transported to the exciting Sagsai Eagle Festival, a celebration of the ancient art of eagle hunting, a tradition passed down through generations. You will enjoy not only to see the eagle hunting festival, competitions, hunting techniques but also Kazakh people's music performances and showcase of assembling their traditional dwellings (Kazakh yurt). Moreover taste the traditional Kazakh cuisine which is different from Mongolian cuisine .

Day 3 (Sep 19) Immersing in Kazakh Nomad Life

Today we will immerse you in Kazakh nomadic lifestyle by staying with Kazakh family. Kazakhs are known for their warm hospitality and rich traditions.  Experience their daily routines, and their family culture with warm memories.

Day 4 (Oct 6) Fly back Ulaanbaatar
